Steve Hart Media

Hello and welcome…

I’ve been working in the media for most of my professional career – mainly as a journalist and magazine editor.

However, before training to be a news reporter, I worked in the entertainment industry and that saw me segue into radio broadcasting. I moved to New Zealand in 2000.

In 2012 I was able to bring together my passion for current affairs and audio with my first podcast – a weekly magazine show that was also broadcast by community radio stations around the world.

Since then I have hosted numerous podcasts and radio shows, and that lead to me being asked to help others with their recorded shows – mainly in post production.

In 2017 I wrote Podcasting Made Easy, a no-nonsense guide for anyone who wants to start podcasting from scratch (I say, ‘use what you have and do it anyway’), and I currently host an occasional podcast about making podcasts.

I enjoy all-things audio, have helped launch a few internet ‘radio’ stations (music selection and website building), and I relish the challenge to make other people’s work sound the best it can be.

Today, I write news and features, edit podcasts, and – now and again – perform voice overs.

If you have any questions about making a podcast, then do send them to me – I’m always happy to help and your question could feature in a future podcast.
